A Long Way Home

It has been a long time since we have blogged. The crazy old bat has no excuses that are acceptable. Our life has moved on as has all of yours. We have missed much over the last half year. We have been reading blogs this evening. We have smiled, laughed and cried. There isn't a day that goes by that we do not think of at least one of you.

My best friend Clara the big fat cat went to the Rainbow Bridge at the end of last year. We have all missed her over the last few months, but I miss her most.

I still take my medicine that the VET gave me for my heart. It seems to be of some help as I am still able to run and play with the armless monkey.

I will leave you with a picture of Dawson and myself trying to grow tomatoes last year. On toward this new spring and summer. Bring on the round red nectar.

How sad is it that the crazy old bat has not downloaded the pictures from the camera for months? No comment is necessary. We can see you shaking your head in disgust.

My opposable thumbs human has been very lax in keeping up with MY blog. I have heard more excuses than my brain can hold. I am hoping that someone out there still remembers who I am.

I had a trip to the VET. They took a picture of my insides. They said that I had water on the inside where it was not suppose to be and my heart was enlarged. My bud Wally the Corgador had an enlarged heart so I am thinking it is not so bad. They gave me some medicine to take and so far it seems to be helping. I have even been playing daily with the armless monkey.

I will leave you with a picture to show you just how much I must in endure in this dysfunctional place I call home. Those two goofs think they are on bunkbeds.

The Transformation

For almost a week this tree has been taking root in the house. We were all at a loss as to the reason for it being inside the house and in the middle of the living room. The crazy old bat kept saying, "Moco, this tree has a purpose." It was never clear to us until today when the tree was transformed to this:

Dawson likes to think he had some magic power that changed the tree since his ugly old chair is right beside it. (If he had any magic power he would head to OZ to get a brain. )

It was none of them. It was none other than the High Priestess of GooberStan. Yes, Stanley and Stella's girl came and laid on our rug. What a grand time we had rubbing paws and getting ear massages from one so Royal and known world wide. We are still walking on air(e) just thinking about the time we spent with her on this visit.

The other day the crazy old bat came home with these. She called them corn dogs. She said they had a special on them at the mini-mart.

The three of us looked at each other. They did not look like any corn we had ever seen and for sure not like any dog. What the devil is a mini-mart? She said they weren't real dogs, just chicken. Foley whispered to me, "do you suppose she has been taken up and probed again."

Chicken or not, they were pretty tasty.

My niece Diamond and my nephew Pulver tagged me to find a picture out of a folder that had not been blogged about. We are never sure what we have done as the crazy old bat can't remember past 2 seconds ago.

We found this one from last winter.

Foley and I had a long conversation about this photo and came to the conclusion that we were scouting possible places to put tomato plants in the spring. We were thinking that it would have to be a major important project to get us out in that weather.

Clara the cat was at the Columbia Humane Society for over two years when the crazy old bat found her and brought her home. She was huge and didn't move around much so she didn't appeal to most people looking to adopt. She has been with the big red guy and crazy old bat for almost 10 years.

Dawson had been brought back to the Humane Society when the crazy old bat found him. He does have issues. He licked his paws all the time along with a few other odd behaviors. It just about drove the big red guy over the edge. He has been here with us for a couple of years now.

We know from personal experience that age, size, breed or special needs does not mean that pets can not be a valued member of a family. Check out some of these pets and see if you can find a place in your heart for them. Remember you can always sponsor one of these pets so that they could bring joy to a special family.

The Machine has Returned

The machine that lives in the garage returned on Tuesday. It was gone a month. It went 7000 miles across the West-Midwest and into the South. It stopped at Peanut's house in Louisiana.

The big red guy came back with the machine. We know this because the big chair in the living room is tilted back. We have yet to see any treats!

Has anyone seen the Big Red Guy? He rode off one day on the machine that lives in the garage, never to be seen again. I asked Foley and Dawson if they have seen him.

I have finally reached our 100th post. Considering the human help that is available it is quite an accomplishment. In the last 2 years I have made many friends from far and wide. I have been places that I would never have thought possible. Gifts have come from all over the world. It has added great interest to our lives. Thank you one and all.

We want to thank my BFF Snowball for the goodies that she sent to us. See for yourself. Excuse the camera person as she doesn't have much of a clue when it comes to making good film.
Can you believe all those wonderful gifts that Snowball sent. Dawson and I wanted to play with the toys right away. Foley was only interested in the treats. The crazy old bat tried to put the clothing on me, but it was a little tight. Maybe time for the old diet or maybe NOT!

Do you wonder what in the world happened to the three of us? Well!! The two old coots fed us before they left on the 2 wheeled machine even though it was in the dark of night. Then the girl called Shalon came and fed us when the light came out. To top off the night one of our favorite people in the whole wide world -JULIA-showed up after the sleeping time and fed us again. We got to eat three times in one day. Those old coots can leave anytime as long as we can keep up that feeding schedule. Vacations rock. (Don't those trees look like Dawson's head when he grew out the fur on the top of his head?)

We decided this week while working with the Snuggle Puggle we would check out our peanut butter. The crazy old bat told us that we only use Skippy and it is suppose to be fine. We told her that she had better get some out so we could be the judges.
It looks OK on those spoons, but only a taste will tell. We are all willing to put forth the sacrifice. ( Besides we know that Skippy is not tainted.) Yep, it seems to be fine. Are we clever or just sneaky?

We Are Slackers Working with the Snuggle Puggle

WE are very slow in posting awards so Foley says that today WE are going to be doing some long over due work. He says that WE are all going to be working with Eduardo . Quite a long time ago Asta and Baby Rocket Dog and Hootie gave this award to us:

My brother Foley has been working with Eduardo the Snuggle Puggle this last month. He decided that he wanted to be a navigator. I think it has to do with all the time he spends watching the History Channel with the big old fire monkey. Foley decided that he was going to get the crazy old bat to take us somewhere in the auto. I am thinking, the ocean, the mountains or maybe to see the volcano. We all climb into the auto.

The Dumb Dog on the Deck

On our deck stands a yellow dog. He does not move. He does not blink. I have attempted to communicate with him, to no avail. He remains stoic. Yesterday I looked out and saw him standing there. I said to him from the dog door, "come inside, O quiet one." He did not move. I offered to send Foley outside to help dig him out. Still nothing. What was I to do? I went and took a nap.

When I woke this is what I saw.Where did he go? Maybe he went to the shed.

The DWB's Card Exchange

When we signed up for the DWB's card exchange we never, in our wildest dreams, thought we would be receiving so many BEAUTIFUL Christmas cards. We have received post cards, e-cards, regular cards and picture cards. They are all wonderful and the crazy old lady says that we will be getting around to thanking everyone personally as soon as she catches up on her Christmas projects (probably in a year or two knowing her). All our cards are in that Christmas stocking and we have received many more since that picture was taken. We thank all of you very much.

A Bigger Doofus than Tanner

We all realize that kitty krunchies are a delicacy of the highest caliber. They are to be gotten whenever possible. Someone in our house did not seem to understand that the krunchies were the only delicacy to be taken. The crazy old lady went to clean Clara's commode and this is what she found :. I know you are saying to yourselves, "why does it need cleaned it is a brand new cat commode?" No friends, it is not. It was filled with the World's Best Cat Litter. "Where did go", you are asking. Well, a doofus of the highest order ate the cat litter. Yes, friends it is so. "Who in the world would do that?", you ask. It is the one who is a bigger doof than Tanner. Look at him. He is wondering where the stuff that goes in the commode is. You ate it, you big nit. Luckily it was only that corn cat litter and did him no harm. Honestly don't you have to wonder what is going on in his head? The crazy old lady had to go out a buy a different cat litter made of corn that had a medicine type odor to keep him out of it.

For the life of me I don't know why I put up with all the nonsense that goes on in this house.

Our friend Ruby Bleu had a Halloween contest and I was the winner. I guessed that she was going to be a dragonfly and was the lucky guesser that she picked out of all the lucky guessers.

The package arrived a while ago. (You all know how much trouble we have with the bipeds who have to do our typing.) When we were finally able to open it. YOU, would not believe all the goodies and prizes that were in that box. My advice to all of you is if you have the chance to enter a contest put on by Ruby-do it. You will get the bestest prizes in the whole world.

Even Grammie, Clara and Edgar got prizes. Why I don't know as they didn't have a clue when the guessing was going on.

The best prize of all was this beautiful certificate that was awarded to me as the winner of the contest. Thank you Ruby Bleu. The bestest contest prizes giver ever.

It has finally come. This is the last tomato plant. It truly means that fall has come. The crazy old lady is picking off the tomatoes so we can have a bite. Notice that Dawson crowded right up to the front of the line. He is such a tomato hog. And to think it was I who introduced him to this nectar.

What is the matter with nutso woman's hands? She says it is something to do with picking up poo. She is so easily sidetracked. At least she understands that getting us tomatoes is a priority.

They are Back

On the other side of the big wooden structure is a big field. The city FINALLY came and mowed it down and what do you think happened? They came back! I guess they couldn't get through all the brush or we couldn't see them if they had. No matter we are so excited to see them again. Welcome back, good friends.

We were given the letter H by Eduardo. We are supposed to list 10 things that we love that start with the letter H. I am going to let Grammie have 5 and I will take 5.

Grammie will go first.

1. Highway: I travel this highway daily on my way to and from work. It is usually very peaceful.

2. Harvest: Or fall. This is my favorite time of year.

3. Home: my favorite place to be.

4. Hobby: I love to stay home and knit.

5. Hilarious: It is the only way I feel that you can look at life.

We Have a Winner

We have a winner in the Gotch Day contest. The correct guess was August 15th. That is the day the girl called Shalon rescued me from the pound in Florida. The rest of the story will be on Autobiography Week.

My Life with a Techno Moron.

I am sad to say that my blogging partner is a techno moron. She is terrible about keeping up my blog. I have awards that are someplace on this laptop and she is attempting to find them. She didn't even realize that I had not signed up for DWB all this time that I have been blogging. I finally put my paw down and said, "enough is enough. We are going to turn over a new pig's ear." She has promised me that she would work harder and attempt to do better. I am now the 975th member of DWB.

Travels with the Grammie

To continue the adventure to get to Peanut's house the jolly carload had to go from South Dakota to Nebraska (where Wally's GranNE lives) into Kansas (howdy to Stanley, Stella and Deetzy) on to Oklahoma (luckily no one broke out in song), through Texas ( waved to Mack ,The Brat Pack , Gus, Louie, Callie and Cubby). After driving for over 25 hours they were able to find their way onto the Army base. I was told that they had 3 very nice days with Peanut, Flash, Shelby and the boy. As is life all good thinks must come to an end as they had to return home so that Grammie could reenter the work force. Grammie says. "Moco, there is no more wonderful sight then when you see the Columbia. and Mt. Hood. You really know you are home at that time." I think the next time she might take us and leave Pappy at the house.

She Has Returned!

Grammie has finally returned. As some of you already know she went to Louisiana to visit Peanut. Peanut's girl was required by order of the King to be back in that state by August 8th so she could return to school. Grammie came home on a Monday morning from work with Julia. We of course were very glad to see Julia as she has stayed with us in the past and it is always a GRAND time.

We noticed that Peanut's girl was headed for the motorized Pappy mobile. We were able to watch her from the front door. Grammie and Pappy got inside also and they motored away down the street. That was the last we saw of any of them for about 1.5 weeks. We did hear Grammie's voice coming out of the wall once. We think it was from the wall, but it could have been from that gadget that they put to their ears at times.

The rest of the story is to be believed or not as Grammie is telling it to me. She states that they went many miles across Oregon, Washington, Idaho and into Montana the first night. I don't know where any of those places are, but am planning on printing out a map so that I can see where they went. According to the story they were going to a place called Mt. Rushmore. She says that they didn't get there until the second day. This is a place where someone has carved 4 very huge hooman heads into rock. It would probably have looked better had it been 4 pups, but it is what it is. She says it is like the Grand Canyon, you don't know how special it is until you actually see it.

Grammie says, that they hit the Black Hills of South Dakota on the first day of Sturgis Bike Week. There were motorcycles of all kinds everywhere. This was a treat for Grammie and Pappy who like to ride. She says that the baby boomers were everywhere and the noise was almost as loud as Dawson and I barking.

The whole trip was 5400 miles and Pappy is sleeping right now from all that driving. More to come on a later post. She even has pictures of Peanut and Flash enjoying their treats. She did not forget us as she came home today with Wally-Melon. What more could we ask?

We Are Going Away.

We aren't really going away, but we will not be blogging for awhile. Grammie has somewhere to go and won't be able to sit with me at the computer. She says that Julia is coming to stay with us, but won't be able to help us blog. I find it a very strange state of affairs. We will be thinking of you all during our sabbatical and will continue doing the circle of healing vibes for any one who requires extra healing. I will leave you with a reminder of us so that you do not forget.

The Human Pups=Snacks

Pictures from the New Camera and a Tag

The goofy old woman has finally gotten some pictures from the new camera on the computer. If you ask me they don't look any better than the ones she used to take with the old camera. I don't think she has any better idea of what to do than she had before she read the instruction book.

This is Foley doing what he does best.

Next you can see how disgusted I am with this whole process.

Dawson had to show us what he had learned about the Wallymelon eating position from Randi. I think he is telling Grammie to get busy and get the Wallymelon on the floor.

Best of all she took some pictures of MY tomatoes. They are getting bushy and have lots of little green tomatoes on them. If she can figure out how to do a close up maybe I can get a picture of the actual tomatoes. She says that she will keep trying to get better pictures to show my friends, but I have little hope for her.

No One Should Have to Endure.

The tomatoes are blooming, the poop-o-matic is producing and the weather is very warm. All great for outdoor pictures. What do you suppose happened at our house? Nutso woman got herself a new camera and can't figure out what to do with it. The big red haired guy says to her, "point and click. You have a picture." No that is not what is about to happen. She has to read the book and figure out what all the little symbols mean so she can take better pictures. Sure, like that is going to happen. I saw her take a picture of her toe. How bright is that? Hopefully she is able to get the camera figured out before the tomatoes are gone and the weather turns to cold. I might have to nibble on her Achilles tendon to get her going on this project.

In the mean time I will post a couple of older pictures. Can you figure out what we are doing?

The Poop-O-Matic

Grammie believes that most things can be used more than once. You make rags out of old clothes. The old cheap yard swing becomes a yard decoration. Grocery bags are used for lunch sacks and garbage can liners. (Note: that was before you could get all those nifty reusable grocery sacks.) I am sure you are getting the idea.

One day she is watching Modern Marvels. The show was about living greener. What do you suppose that she saw on that show that she thought would be a good thing to have to help the environment? That crazy old lady bought this item: What in the world is that you ask. It is a composter. It even has its own mixer. She put dirt, baking soda and sawdust pellets into the machine. This is suppose to get the process started.The most important ingredient to go into the composter was yet to come. Yes, you can put food items into it, but this was made for poop. Believe it or not she bought this thing to compost OUR poop. Is she nutso or what? She has some notion that this will decrease our carbon footprint. Dawson saw what she was up to and went right to work helping her. He is such a suck up!

The big red haired guy and Peanut's girl are always telling Nutso Woman that the machine stinks. How goofy are they, it's friggin compost. Of course it stinks. So far she has saved about a months worth of poop from going to the land fill. She even was able to put some of the finished product on her rhodies. Go, figure!

A Chair for Three

Sunday night we decided to watch that show that the girl and the crazy old lady like lots. We got ourselves all positioned and comfortable. Thank goodness we had a big chair. As you can see Foley and I weren't as interested in the show as the girl. I was trying to pay some attention and get the concept of the plot. Foley was only interested in taking a nap. Don't ask me where Dawson is at, probably in eating the expensive cat litter. The show was OK, but I had the sister figured for the main conspirator from the beginning. Hoomans are so predictable.

The Pictures Have Been Found

The big red haired guy or fire monkey (thanks, Joe. We love that name.) finally was able to find the pictures and transfer them back to the computer that we use. I have to tell you that he was using HBO words that even Tanner is not allowed to hear.

Dawson got his package for the goody exchange from Willow. He was really excited. He has a tendency to be into a bit of the drama. See how the dingle stuck his whole head in the package. Like he was going to be able to see in there without a light.

He pulled out a stuffy that I really liked. as you can see I was headed to the house with it. I was hoping to find a special spot for it before anyone knew it was gone, but I got busted.

Here he is looking at his haul. He was really impressed with all the goodies that Willow was kind enough to give to him. He wasn't sure where he was suppose to start. Luckily he had help in making a decision.

Peanut's girl and the other small hooman pup were able to get him a treat to snack on. He sat on the deck for a long time eating his goodie. He told us later that it was one of the best treats he has ever had. Thank you so much, Willow. The small hooman girl was lucky that we were so busy with the goody package that we did not take that red stuffy right out of her hand.

I got a package from the great Wally T. Corgador. It is a bandana from our favorite team the Seattle Mariners. Yes, we know that they are stinking up the diamond, but we still love them. I will be wearing this wonderful gift when the games are on and I know that it will help them win. Thank you so much Wally.

The Post that Wasn't

The big red haired guy has been doing a lot of messing around with the computers lately. A couple of days ago he had two of them hooked together. I am not sure what he was doing. He had Peanut's girl sitting by him reading things on one computer screen and he would say, "check." When he was done fooling around the small laptop was back on the desk.

Today I was going to post about Dawson's package from Willow. The crazy old lady got home from work this morning and was going to help me. She said, "lets find the pictures we want." We went to pictures, nothing there. We went to shared pictures, nothing there. We went to documents, nothing there. I think she did this several times. Like she couldn't figure out there were no pictures the first time through. Hoomans can be so scary at times. At this point she was saying some HBO words that should not be repeated. "Moco", she says to me. "That goof forgot to reload the pictures from one computer to the other when he was messing around. He better hope that he didn't lose all those pictures that you have stored." I really had to agree with her. The big red haired guy is off motorcycle riding at this moment and who knows when he will return. You can bet I am going to give him a piece of my mind when he gets home and make him cough up all those pictures. We will post about Dawson's goody exchange package when the photos are returned to the correct computer.

Goody Exchange-Foley

Foley received a package from Scruffy, Lacie and Babystan about 10 years ago. Probably not that long, but it seems like it. The crazy old lady was finally able to get her stuff together enough to get the pictures and get them posted. We totally understand all the trouble the rest of you are having with your hired help.

This is all of us outside on the deck looking at the package. (Yes Peanut, that is your girl.) I am not as interested as you can see due to it not being my package. Foley looks like he is more interested in Dawson's backside. What is the deal with that? The Girl was finally able to get the package open and what do you think was inside? Did you guess a cow's ear? Foley loves cow's ears. Look at the way he looks at it. There was a very nice card with an Airedale on the front. It said that they were glad to meet Foley and make a new friend. Right back at you guys. The important part of the card said that they sent all of his housemates gifts also and he was to share. There were all sorts of goodies and even something for Clara and Edgar. How nice are those three! Many, many thanks on behalf of all of us and especially Foley. Next post will be what Dawson received from Willow in goody package and something special I got from The Great Wally T. Corgador.

Pictures from the Goody Exchange

At last, pictures of my goodies from Kimi. We never were able to figure out how to get the movie to work. I was able to get the humans in this house to take a few pictures. Good help is really hard to find. This first one is what came in my package.

That space alien guy makes a really loud squeak and even looks a little like Grammie. We aren't sure what is in the baggie, but we were very happy to sit and wait for some. Grammie thought it looked like the beef lung they have at the pet store. It made no difference to us. It was yummy!

See how good I am at ignoring Grammie. I have a plan for that squeaky alien. I am going to wait until 3 AM when Pappy is sleeping. I will climb up on the bed and squeeze it right next to his ear. I wish Foley or Dawson knew how to work the camera. What kind of picture do you think I could get? None of us know how to do CPR either.

My Goody Exchange Package Came Today

My goody exchange package from Kimi came today. Dawson thought it was for him. He butted his way right into the festivities. Grammie (who looks like she has been diving in a dumpster) got it opened up. It had some really cool stuff. There was an orange squeaky guy that looks just like a space alien. How fitting is that for this household! There was also a soccer ball with towels attached to pull on. I wish one of my brothers knew how to play tug-o-war. There were also these really great treats. We aren't sure what they were, but we were happy to have them for a snack. All three of us went back for seconds. I also got a jar of Dingo Roo's. We have to save them for later. Kimi, thanks so much for all the great GOODIES. We have attempted to add a movie of the opening of the package, but the typist is unable to wrap her brain around the process. We have tried blogger, vimeo and Youtube. No one seems to want to show it. We will take pictures later and post them. I did not want Kimi to think we had forgotten.
