How I came to live with the lady called Grammie.

As you can tell I am not doing very well at blogging. I was able to get the title published without a text. I think I will start again.

About 6-7 years ago I was in a jail in Pensacola, FL. I was very dirty with ratty hair and nails. The girl called Shalon came to the jail. She saw me and kept repeating something about Sammy. (I found out later that Sammy was her dog when she was growing up.) The girl called Shalon paid my bail and took me home with her.

Shalon took me across the country with her, even when she knew that she would not be able to keep me at the new place she was going to live. It was a very long car ride. I had to be in a cage. I was smuggled into motels. Finally we got to the place that was called home. That Shalon was very clever bringing me to the "home." She knew that Grammie would not let me be given away.

I was brought into a house. There in a big chair was a man with red hair. I climbed up in the chair with him and he became my constant pal. They call him Pappy. Pappy had just retired from his job of 23 years so we got to sleep a lot. It was wonderful! Grammie was there also, but it was Pappy who I bonded with all those years ago.

They lived in what is called a manufactured home when I first met Pappy and Grammie. Grammie says, "it was a trailer no matter how you look at it." It had a small fenced yard that I was able to go outside anytime I wanted. There was also a very large cat named Clara that lived in the house. She was bigger than I was at that time. We became close friends.

That is how I came to be with Grammie, who loves to give us lots of treats.

You are now part of a family of confirmed dog lovers! From Florida all the way to Oregon! You're a well-travelled pup.

So glad you have the Grammie and Pappy to fawn all over you, love on you, and give you treats. Can't wait to hear more about your adventures!

Come by sometime & say hey!

Goober love & smooches,

Mom says why in the world you bonded with Pappy she has no idea but hey you are his baby. Auntie Shalon is great huh? Without her you would have never known pappy and grammie

How lucky you are, Moco! You came to your home just in time to keep your Pappy company. I'm glad that you and Clara are friends, too.

Can you believe I've never seen a cat yet and I haven't traveled any farther than 2 hours away from my home?

Your grammie is very special, but your Pappy is super-extra-special because he has RED HAIR!! My Dad has RED HAIR, too!! (maybe it's rusty from all the rain we get in Oregon, huh?)
