My Good Friend Clara

I would like to thank all of you that have visited my blog and left comments. I am overwhelmed by your kindness. I would like to be able to link to your blogs when I can figure out how it is done.

Remember in my last blog I talked about my good friend Clara. When I came to live with Grammie and Pappy, Clara was all ready there. She pretty much had the run of everything. Her size at that time made her very scary. I think she was about 20#. I took my time getting to know her. I would do my crazed terrier routine with wild bulging eyes for her quite often trying to get her to play. Finally I won her over. She began hiding behind and under objects so she could pounce out at me. One pounce was about all she could muster. We got so comfortable with each other she would and still does come up and rub her head on my chin.
Clara has lost some weight over the last couple of years. I think it might be that new food that Grammie feeds her that doesn't have grain. The picture of her is in Grammie's chair. Can you see her old lady fat roll? You should see it flop from side to side when she tries to run. She doesn't mind me giggling at her, but she is not fond of Foley, Dawson or Edgar.
Next time I will tell you how Grammie got a wild hair up her backside and decided to move Clara, Pappy and I.

I'm not going to show Clara's picture to Penny because it would make her very hungry. But personally, I like cats. They're kinda like me. Pet me, feed me, love me & leave me alone.

Clara can hang out with me anytime.

Oh my dog! That thing is kinda scary. You are brave to live with it. My ma ape has that old lady fat flap, too. Do you think she is a cat? Or just a fat old lady?

You made my Mom cry a little. She said Clara looks like a cat she had when she was younger named Cheyenne. My cat brother is fat, too. Mom used to feed him food that was for indoor cats, but now he's on a special bladder food cuz he got sick last year after my Mom had her surgery. He's gained a some weight on this new food and Mom says it smells terrible, but as long as it keeps Gunanr healthy, Mom says she'll deal with the smell.

Moco!

That Clara is a WHOLE LOTTA CAT! I'm surprised you all fit in the same house with her! She's gorgeous!

I think it's very sweet that you won her over and that she uses your chin as a scratching post. If he wants me to, I'll clean Merv's ears for him. He still won't let Stella do it. She's a bit spastic sometimes.

Goober love & smooches,
Stanley

I can't imagine being friends with a cat, but I guess you have to make do with what you've got!
