Ode to Joe Stains Mom

Some of you may know that Joe Stains mom has a blog about cooking. Can you imagine our surprise when Grammie started making some of the recipes. This is a women who says, "I'd rather clean the toilet than cook." Can you see the look of shock on our faces. The first thing she made was tomato soup. She said that it was very good and she thought she could use different types of tomatoes to give it a different flavor. That sounded like cooky talk to us. We are barking among ourselves and laughing that this will not go on for long when what does she do? She makes this dish. It is called Sesame Bison with broccoli and cauliflower. We were floored. That crazy old lady used beef (that we all got a bite of) and those green round vegetable things. Pappy said it was tasty. She also made a Peanut (we are sure after our nephew) noodle dish. She says that there are lots of recipe on the blog that she is going to try in the future. If she starts cooking do you think she will start making us treats? If you want to try some good, easy recipes go to http://idinealone.blogspot.com/. Here are to many food items landing on the floor and into our mouths.
Bye the way. Grammie told me to stop worrying about Edgar and get on with my life.

Oooohhhh, I have to tell my Mom to check out the recipes. She doesn't like to cook at all! In our house, Dad does all the cooking (which is pretty nice since he's real messy and drops lots of food on the floor....come to think about it, maybe I won't tell Mom about that web site after all).

Motch has been to Joey & Tanner's mom's blog and has made some of the recipes, too. They look really good, but she never shares with me. Motch really likes the tuna & garbonza bean salad and the garlic chicken.

My Mom visits Joe and Tanner's Mom's blog, too. She's been wanting to try the tomato soup recipe, too but hasn't been able to do it yet.

Our mom has been cooking more since going to that blog also. More stuff for me to try and steal. I hope grammie is feeling better now.

Oh no Mom is all blushing and smiling and said this this post made her whole day. Thanks for this great tribute, if I wasn't such a brat I would let her sign in to her account so she could thank you herself, but then she would just go on and on about how humbling it is that she can make this little change in your life. Then she would probably go on and on about how cooking makes her happy but hearing about other people learning from her or finding something new they like makes her even happier. Thank you again and dogs, seriously, cooking = food raining from the sky!

That sounds JUST LIKE Grammie! No farting around with her. Uh UH!

I'm very proud that my Grammie is allowing herself to grow as a hooman bean and as a budding cook. If Pappy is eating it, it must be good.

My girl just discovered Joe's mama's blog, so maybe we'll be seeing more use of the pots & pans at our house (other than for tie dyeing).

Goober love & smooches all around,
Stanley
