Age is Only a State of Mind

Today is my nephew Flash's (Grammie still hasn't figured out how to link) adoption day. Everyone seems to know their birth or adoption days. This got me thinking. What day in the world belongs to us. I went with Grammie to the closet where she keeps stuff to see what we could find. What do you suppose we came across? A bright yellow Pet Owner's Portfolio from Navy Blvd. Animal Hospital in Pensacola, FL. Inside it says that I rescued the girl called Shalon on 9/1/01. That is getting close to 7 years ago. It also says that I was 3 years old at the time. That would make me almost 10. That is older than Joe Stains (again goofy woman can't link. Maybe Peanut will fix it for her). I have been living with Grammie and Pappy since 2002. I ask you does this look like the face of an older female? ( I am telling Dawson to get out of my face or I am going to bite his nose off. ) I tell you I don't feel a day over puphood.

We also found out that Foley was adopted from Animal Control on 2/23/05. It doesn't say how old he was, but we are thinking he was probably around 3 years. Dawson was adopted from the Humane Society on 4/21/07. He was two at the time. That means that Dawson has an adoption day next Monday. I hope the crazy old lady has extra goodies for all of us. To top it all off we even found Clara's adoption papers while we were looking. Clara as you know is one of my very best friends. She was adopted 11/1999. She was about 2.5 years at the time. That makes her older than the rest of us. Don't let that fool you though. She can pretty much scare the crap out of us all.

We hope that all animals that need homes will have them and have great birth and adoption days. Hear that crazy old lady. Get down to the pet store and get some good treats.

Mom thought I was only one when I came home in 2001. But our Vet said a couple of years later I was more like 7 or 8!! Which would make me like 12 now. Eeek.

Age is only a state of mind...for sure.

I guess her directions didn't work huh? make sure Grammie gets you lots of stuff. Oh and we can not believe Clara the big fat cat is as old as she is.

My goodness, you found all kinds of wonderful things in Grammy's closet! I'm going to ask Motch to make me some cookies in honor of your special days.

And Motch has a question: if age is just a state of mind, why are you calling Grammy an old lady? She is probably as YOUNG as Motch!

Hi, Moco!
My grandma says that as long as you feel good the age is not important!
Sure I hope you all get lots of treats!

age is definitely just a number, I don't feel a day over 4 and you don't look a day over 3. Tanner's papers are all messed up (just like tanner) one says he was 1 when he got to the shelter, the other said he was 2. I think he is just a doofus!

Oh yes, age is definitely a state of mind. What's a number, eh? Think young!

My Mom's grandmother is named Clara. She's a human, not a cat. But she's pretty old too. Not sure what my point is, except to say that you all look like spring chickens!

Moco,
You are so correct about age being only a state of mind - Mom says that phrase all the time!

And yes, cats can be so scary with those needles attached to their paws!!

Age is definately a state of mind. Mom has a dog tht lived to 15 and as long as the weather wasn't too cold, she ran around liek a puppy.

That Grammie is an adoption FOOL! We LOVE HER and hail her name for opening her big wide heart to all you dogs and kitty. I can feel the love tonight. (Okay, I'm stopping this train of thought here.)

I truly believe that you, Moco, could take the nose off anydog you want to. That makes you the queen bee(otch), right?

Goober love & saucy smooches,
Stanley
