Tomato or Toemattoe!

What you see here is MY tomato growing box. It is the time of year that plants need to be put into the box so that I can have tomatoes to pick in the summer. The plants were brought. We get them at the plant show at the high school every year. It is put on by the Master Garden people. That is not Grammie. She is barely able to get the plants in the box without my supervision. After they get planted the plants require wire hats to help them grow. Where are the wire hats? Do I have to get down from this patio and find them myself?

Of course not, that is why I have Dawson and Edgar around. They do manual labor. I am a supervisor and taste tester. I will keep you updated on the progress of this project as the months go on.

If you haven't signed up for the Goody Exchange get on over to Chef's blog and get your name in the hat. Maybe we will be paired.

Mom tries to plant tomatoes every year & the bunnies always eat them. I told her I'd be more than happy to take care of the bunnies but she hasn't let me yet.

Moco, you are very smart to leave the menial work to the others. Supervisor and Taste Tester will look great on your resume. The only edible thing my Mom planted was cilantro...and I *hate* cilantro!

I bet you're going to keep that staff in line, Moco, and grammie's going to have some prize tomatoes growing there. My Mama's tomatoes get eaten up by squirrels and I would really, really, REALLY like to be in charge of chasing them away.

Everyone is planting things! Cassidy and Harry just planted sunflowers too!

You are just a fabulous supervisor. And what an incredible idea to grow your own snackies right outside your house! My girl hasn't figured that out yet... she has to drive to the store to eat anything.

Whoa! My ma ape needs to get with the program and do my tomato box. I like the garden because I like the plantable eatables and also because they provide lovely shade for overheated older gents.

We should really be growing our own tomatoes too. We use heaps for the B&B. We tried once but the project failed. I don't think our garden gets enough light. There are so many large trees.
